Some exciting news for those of us who enjoy a nice cold beer: MSNBC today reports that beer just might be good for us, after all! Nothing better for a Lard Butt than waking up the day after the Super Bowl to read this encouraging news. There are all sorts of caveats, of course, but here's to beer and to everyone having healthy bones!

Though past research has suggested beer is chockfull of silicon, little was known about how silicon levels varied with the type of beer and malting process used. So a pair of researchers took one for the team and ran chemical analyses on beer's raw ingredients.
