Jogging and Splashing into 2010

2010 Splash

Happy New Year!  Your humble Lard Butt correspondent found the perfect, albeit insane, way to ring in 2010...by jogging through five kilometers of mud and rain and then plunging into Seattle's Lake Washington to mark the start of 2010.  Held on the morning of New Years Day, the 'Resolution 5K' was a splashing success, with nearly 1,000 runners, a wet and crowded course that actually guided particpants INTO Lake Washington near the finish line...then, best of all...provided a beer garden and chilli feed at the finish line!  After all, what could be better for a bunch of soaking wet Lard Butts on a blustery morning than a couple cold beers and a bowl of chilli?  We here at Lard Butt salute the organizers and participants of the Resolution Run:  We look forward to staging the Lard Butt 1K run/walk/struggle...in the meantime, Happy 2010 from all of us at Lard Butt!
