Ballpark Fare not Foul

Ballpark Fare.jpg

With the start of the Major League Baseball season, fans everywhere dream of summer afternoons relaxing on the bleachers with refreshing beverages and delicious mustard and relish covered hot dogs.

Although I have never eaten a Fenway Frank or a Dodger Dog, I did enjoy the Chicago Dog I consumed at Camelback Ranch Ballpark (the Spring Training home of the Chicago White Sox) a couple weeks ago.  I am not sure if a hot dog prepared in Glendale, Arizona counts as a true Chicago Dog, but in the hot sun, washed down with a glass of cold beer, it sure was tasty!

Probably my favorite ball diamond delicacy from this year's Spring Training was the fire roasted corn on the cob (pictured at right) served at the Glendale ballpark.  Slathered in butter with a sprinkling of salt, this ear of corn hit a culinary home run.

What is your favorite ballpark food?  If you have a Lard Butt shirt (and really EVERYONE should) please snap a photo of yourself with your favorite ballpark fare.  We would love to post it in our photo gallery!
